The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you, as a client, about my handling of your personal and sensitive data collected in my practice.

This privacy policy is not an exhaustive description. We reserve the right to make other declarations, e.g. general terms and conditions, order processing contracts.

Only those data are processed that are related to the alternative medical treatment or that are relevant for information about possible offers. This is exclusively data that I have recorded with your consent, that you have sent to me or that is transmitted through the website with your consent. This can be general data about you (name, address, telephone number, etc.), information about your health / the course of your illness, diagnoses that have already been made and, if necessary, other data that you have transmitted to me as a result of the treatment (client files).
This data is collected, stored and processed exclusively in your client dossier. in the dossier necessary for administration. I will only pass on your personal data to persons or areas of our practice who need them to fulfill contractual and legal obligations. These are informed about the applicable data protection rules and are obliged to comply with them.
Your data or parts thereof will only be made accessible to other persons or institutions (insurers, etc.) with your explicit consent. Exceptions are judicial orders or the enforcement of legitimate claims on the part of the practice. If your data is physically collected and processed, it will be stored in a lockable room or cabinet that is not accessible to unauthorized third parties. Electronically collected data is kept secure (firewall, password, etc.). 

Digitally, we collect only the most necessary personalized information through this website to enable an ordering process, to enable contact or to keep the website compliant with modern standards of technology.

You can use the information on our website to contact us voluntarily. Your data will be used for the usual business communication within the scope of a project. None of their data will be shared or sold to third parties.

Collection and processing of personal data

We primarily process the personal data that we receive from our customers and other business partners in the course of our business relationship with them and other persons involved in it, or that we collect from their users in the operation of our websites, plug-ins and other applications.

This includes, for example, data processing when placing an order or contacting us via the contact form.

Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. The term “editing” covers almost all activities that can be imagined under it. This includes, among other things, obtaining or collecting, storing, keeping, using, modifying, disclosing, archiving, deleting or destroying personal data.

This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the Swiss Data Protection Act (“DPA”) and the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (“revDSG”). Whether and to what extent these laws are applicable depends on the individual case.

Purposes of data processing and legal basis

We use the personal data collected by us primarily to conclude and process our contracts with our customers and business partners, so in particular in the context of the consulting, massage and therapy services to be provided to our customers, as well as to comply with our legal obligations at home and abroad.
In addition, we process personal data of you and other persons, to the extent permitted and deemed appropriate, in particular for the following purposes in which we have a legitimate interest corresponding to the purpose:

  • Communication with third parties and processing of their requests (e.g. applications, offers);
  • Collection of personal data for the purpose of customer acquisition;
  • Advertising and marketing, insofar as you have not objected to the use of your data (if we send you advertising as an existing customer of ours, you can object to this at any time, we will then put you on a block list against further advertising mailings);
  • Assertion of legal claims and defense in connection with legal disputes and official proceedings;
  • Preventing and resolving misconduct;
  • Warranties of our operation, in particular our website;

Insofar as you have given us consent to process your personal data for specific purposes, we process your personal data exclusively within the scope of and based on this consent, insofar as we have no other legal basis and we require such a basis. Consent given can be revoked at any time, but this has no effect on data processing that has already taken place.

Cookies / Hosting Provider and Server Log Files

Cookies:

You can choose on our website whether to allow cookies or not. However, during an ordering process, errors may occur in the shopping cart if you do not allow cookies.

Hosting provider and server log files:
To ensure that this website is displayed correctly during your visit, the provider of our web content (Metanet, Josefstrasse 218, 8005 Zurich) automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files. Your browser transmits the following necessary but anonymized technical data:

  • the type of your browser
  • the date and time of your visit
  • the website through which you have reached our website

This data is collected anonymously and cannot be assigned to specific individuals. It is therefore not possible to link this data to personality profiles in any way. A consolidation with other data sources is also not carried out. The provider Metanet stores our data exclusively on servers in Switzerland.

Typekit fonts from Adobe Fonts:
We use external “Typekit” fonts from the provider Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, 6 Riverwalk Citywest Business Campus Dublin 24, Republic of Ireland, on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. optimization, interest in the analysis and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) we use external “Typekit” fonts from the provider Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, 4-6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24, Republic of Ireland. Adobe is certified under the Privacy Shield agreement, providing a guarantee of compliance with European data privacy law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TNo9AAG&status=Active).

Google Web Fonts:
We integrate the fonts (“Google Fonts”) of the provider Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Safety:
Our website is protected against unauthorized access by a so-called SSL certificate. You can recognize this by the lock icon displayed at the top of the browser address bar to the left of our URL “https://artoftantra.ch”. As a further security measure, we use a firewall plug-in that protects our website from unauthorized access (hacking).

When contacting our e-mail address, the data transfer is carried out from the device with which you access our website (desktop PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.). Communication by e-mail can have security gaps. If you use this form of contact, the responsibility for the highest possible security standard lies with you at that moment.

By using our websites and consenting to receive newsletters and other marketing emails, you consent to the use of these techniques. If you do not want this, then you must set your browser or e-mail program accordingly.

Duration of the retention of personal data

We process and store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the fulfillment of our contractual and legal obligations or otherwise the purposes pursued with the processing, i.e. for the duration of the entire business relationship as well as beyond that in accordance with the legal storage and documentation obligations. In this context, it is possible that personal data will be retained for the time during which claims can be asserted against our company and to the extent that we are otherwise required to do so by law or legitimate business interests so require (e.g. for evidence and documentation purposes). As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, it will be deleted or anonymized as far as possible.

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access and misuse, such as issuing instructions, training, IT and network security solutions, access controls and restrictions, or encryption of data carriers and transmissions.

Rights of the data subject

Within the scope of the data protection law applicable to you and insofar as provided therein, you have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of data processing and otherwise the right to object to our data processing as well as to the surrender of certain personal data. Please note, however, that we reserve the right to enforce the restrictions provided for by law, for example if we are obliged to retain or process certain data, have an overriding interest in doing so or require it for the assertion of claims. Also note that exercising these rights may conflict with contractual agreements and may have consequences such as early termination of the contract. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy at any time without notice. The current version published on our website applies. To the extent that the Privacy Policy is part of an agreement with you, if we update it, we will notify you of the change by email or other appropriate means.
